Description

A single dark flower rises on a long, slender stem through this tall slab of clear resin, which is drawn up into a smooth, rounded arch at the top. Near the crown the bloom turns to one side, its ruffled petals almost black around a green calyx, and a closed bud lifts on a second stem beside it. Two deeply lobed, toothed leaves branch off partway up, one to either side, and the main stem runs on down to the foot.

A Dark Bloom Beneath a Rounded Arch

High-clarity resin keeps the slab glass-clear from its flat foot to the curve of the arch, and both broad faces are polished so the stem reads like a single line drawn in ink. The petals are inky and softly creased, with a faint sheen along their ruffled edges, and the calyx beneath them is a muted green. Both stems have a fine, downy texture in grey-green, while the leaves are a fresher green with pale veins running out to every tooth. Clear space surrounds the whole plant, so it can be enjoyed from either face.

Tall and narrow, it looks its best on a credenza or a long sideboard, and placed in a hallway it greets whoever comes through the front door. At 70cm on a sideboard, the bloom meets the eye of anyone sitting across the room. A pale wall behind sharpens the silhouette of the dark petals, and a window to one side brightens the green of the leaves. Indoor use only.

Choosing a Bloom, and Getting the Slab Home

A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. Each order brings one slab, sold on its own and made after you place it. As a bespoke piece it can hold a flower in another colour, a cluster of buds or a spray of leaves alone, and the top can be drawn as a pointed or squared arch in place of the rounded one. It travels upright in a foam-lined crate, and once unpacked it asks only for a firm, level spot to stand on. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
