One clear acrylic band curves right round this tub armchair to serve as the back and both arms at once, and it is carried on two flat clear side panels that reach the floor. A plain white cushion fills the seat. Its plan is compact, so it takes up very little room for a chair with arms.
A band that turns through more than half a circle has to keep one radius the whole way round, and in a colourless material any variation shows as a change in the width of the highlight running along it. It is formed in a single operation for that reason rather than bent in stages. Where the band meets each side panel the joint is a butt on a curve against a flat, and it is unforgiving: on clear acrylic there is nothing to fill a gap with, so both faces are machined and polished before bonding. The cushion is filled so it stands a little above the rails instead of sitting level with them.
Small in plan and open underneath means this chair drops into a corner a wider armchair would not take: a bedroom, a dressing room, or an office where the visitor's chair ought not to take over. From the front the band is a drawn line; from the side it becomes a solid curve. The white cushion is the only opaque part, so it is what holds the chair to a scheme. Give it a floor worth seeing, since everything but the cushion is read through.
Allow 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. Cushion fabric and colour come from a range, and a leather cushion is available where a woven one is too soft. The band can be set higher for more back support or taken wider through the arms. Panel thickness can be increased where the chair will see hard use, and a tint is offered in the band, the panels or both. The chair travels as three parts and the band is bonded to the panels on arrival, so nothing comes in at full width. Each panel is a two-person lift, awkward rather than heavy. The cushion is bagged separately. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
One band serving as a back and both arms belongs with our acrylic sculptures; flat clear side panels reaching the floor lead to our art furniture, and a compact armchair that leaves an office open joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
