Description

This square table in clear resin has two halves that behave nothing alike. The top is a flat plane held in soft ripples, level enough to work on; below the slab edge the whole underside gathers into deep folds and creases that pull downward and meet the floor, so the table stands on the crests of its own crumple.

A Flat Top Over a Crumpled Underside

The change happens on a hard line: the slab edge runs true all the way round, and immediately beneath it the material breaks into folds that run in no repeating direction. Some folds reach the floor and some stop short, and the ones that do reach it are noticeably heavier than the rest. The whole of the underside is polished, because through the clear material it is as visible as the top from any seat in the room. The top itself is rippled rather than mirror-flat, but the ripples sit within the thickness so a glass set anywhere on it stands square.

This is a coffee table for a corner arrangement or a single deep sofa rather than a long run of seating. Square means it presents the same face from all four sides and can be turned without changing how it reads. It gains most on a hard floor where light can get under it and the folds throw a pattern; over deep pile the underside is lost and half the piece with it. It is heavy for its footprint and once sited it stays. Indoor use only.

The Square Plan, a Calmer Ripple and Delivery Top Down

Expect 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks where the commission is bespoke. The square plan makes this the table for a corner or a single sofa, and at order the plan can be drawn out into a rectangle where a longer run of seating needs it. A shallower ripple gives a calmer top, and the studio's tints can be used, though a deeper colour dims the play of light in the folds. The table travels top down in a fitted crate, blocked so the folds carry none of the weight, and it is turned upright in the room it will stand in by two people. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A square slab gathered underneath into crumpled folds sits among our art furniture; its creases tie it to our organic sculptures, and its clear pour to our resin sculptures.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
