A long slab of clear resin, its whole surface crumpled like broken ice, runs the length of this console. At one end it drops into a sculpted clear leg that spreads into a broad, irregular foot; at the other it rests on a plain square timber post, which comes with the console and gives that end a quiet, straight line.
The slab is cast with its crumpled face worked into the mould, so the texture runs right to the torn edge and catches light all along its length. The clear leg at one end is modelled like ice running down to the floor and spreading into a broad foot, and its underside is faced flat so it stands true. The timber post at the other end is plain and squared, and it is cut to the height of the leg so the slab sits perfectly level across its whole length.
It suits a long wall in a hall, an entrance or a gallery, where the crumpled surface can be seen from standing height and lit from the side. Its two supports are unalike on purpose, so it is worth settling which end greets the door. A level floor matters, since the slab spans a long way between them. Indoor use only.
Making a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks, and making a bespoke one 5–6. Any length can be made, the crumpling can be worked finer or deeper, and the timber post can be chosen in another species or finished darker. The slab can carry a tint. Consoles ordered together are matched in the texture of their slabs. The slab, the clear leg and the post travel in separate padded crates, and it takes four people to put together where it will stand. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A slab crumpled like ice, carried on a clear leg and a timber post, gives our art furniture a console; the ice suits our organic sculptures, the clear slab our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
