Clear Crumpled Gold Splayed Block Rock Resin Sculpture - 34cm
Clear Crumpled Gold Splayed Block Rock Resin Sculpture - 34cm $2,15800
Description

Angular blocks splay outwards from a knotted centre in this clear resin rock, like a spray of crystals bursting from one point. The longest is thrust up and out to the right, a squared block stands at the top on the left, and more fan away along the left side. Under the knot the rock spreads into a rough, frosted mass speckled with tiny dark pits. Crumpled gold leaf sits high in the upper left block, a gilded sliver lies across another, and fine golden crumbs trace a few of the cracks.

Angular Blocks Fanning From a Knot

The blocks have broad, flat planes and sharp edges, so the upper part looks like freshly broken ice, while under the knot the imported clear resin is left crystalline and frosted, scattered with dark pinpoints. The gold is metal leaf in a deep antique tone, crumpled and folded so that its facets flash one at a time as you move, and the crumbs along the cracks glint like gilt dust. The splay of the blocks and the placing of the gold change from one rock to the next.

At 34cm it sits well on a bookshelf, a mantelpiece or the corner of a desk, and a side table beside a reading chair suits it too. Turn the long block towards the room's main light so the gold flashes as people move, and set it against a dark shelf back or wall to make the clear blocks glitter. Indoor use only.

Gold Tone, Spread and the Carton

Every standard piece is made in 3–4 weeks, and every bespoke commission in 5–6. The gold can be gathered into more flakes, kept to a single one or changed to silver or copper leaf, and its speckled foot can be cleared to match the blocks above. It can be cast at other sizes as well. The listing covers one rock, sold individually. It leaves the workshop packed in a fitted carton with each block cushioned, and the safest grip is beneath the speckled foot, not on the long block. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Our abstract sculptures suit its splayed, angular blocks, while its crumpled antique gold belongs with our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
