Both arms on this cast resin sculpture are held straight out from the shoulders and the neck is a short stump, so from the front the piece reads almost as a cross rather than as a body. The faces are cut broad and flat, meeting at hard edges, and the resin is left entirely colourless. Its ground foot is little wider than the waist, which is what makes the outstretched arms look unlikely.
Arms held level are a cantilever, and at this scale that is decided by how much material is left at the shoulder rather than by any fixing. Each arm is left fuller where it leaves the body and worked back toward the end, which is also what stops it reading as a stick. The two are cut to match without being identical: a truly symmetrical pair reads as machined, and the whole idiom of the piece is hewn. The foot is ground flat and the piece is stood and re-stood while it is worked, because a cross form leans visibly at half a degree.
Small, symmetrical and frontal, at 23cm it wants to stand square to the room rather than turned, on a shelf, a mantel or a desk facing forward. The outstretched arms give it width, so leave clear space to either side rather than crowding it. Against a dark ground the colourless body reads as an outline; against a pale one it nearly disappears, which is worth choosing deliberately one way or the other.
Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. Arm length is set at order and it changes the reading completely: run them out and the piece becomes a cross, bring them in and it becomes a figure. Tints of smoke, amber, green or pale blue can be run through the body, and leaf in gold, silver or copper is a further option at the pour. Scale is cut to order. Pieces ordered together are poured in one batch so the family matches. It arrives boxed and sleeved as a one-person carry and stands on any flat surface without a mount. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A torso holding its arms straight out like a cross belongs with our classic sculptures; broad flat faces meeting at hard edges lead to our abstract sculptures, and resin left entirely colourless joins our resin sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
