This table's top is a slab of clear resin, crazed right through and scattered with small gold flecks, with an irregular chipped edge all round. Two black rock-form piers stand under it, and they do not stop at the underside: each carries on up through the slab and surfaces on the top as a black craggy outcrop, so the table has two masses standing proud of its working surface.
Most slab tables set a top on a base. This one lets the base come through, and the two outcrops on the surface are the reason to own it: they sit off centre and at different distances from the ends, so the top has a rhythm rather than a symmetry, and the crazed resin closes tight around each one with no collar or gap. The crazing runs through the full thickness at every angle and carries out into the chipped edge, so the slab never reads as a cut sheet. The gold flecks are sparse and sit at every depth. The piers are fibreglass under a black finish.
Standing at dining height, this is a console or a narrow dining table, and the two outcrops mean it is not a surface to lay a run of place settings across: the clear areas between and beyond them are the usable ones. It wants to be walked past rather than sat against, which suits a hall, a landing, a showroom or the long wall of a dining room. The clear slab shows the floor straight through, so boards or a patterned rug become part of the piece. Indoor use only.
Order a standard piece and it takes 3–4 weeks; order it bespoke and it takes 5–6. Where the piers come through is the decision that matters, and it is made at order: set well in, as here, they leave a long clear run at each end; set nearer the ends they leave one broad clear field in the middle, which is the choice where the table has to work as a surface rather than only as an object. A single pier is available on a short span. Slab length is made to order, the crazing set finer or more open, and the flecks specified in gold, silver or left out. This is very heavy for its footprint and it is a four-person lift: the slab travels flat and fully supported with the piers packed separately, and the piers are positioned and levelled before the slab is lowered onto them, because once the outcrops are through it the slab cannot be shifted sideways at all. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Black outcrops rising through crazed resin place this table in our art furniture; the rock piers join our fibreglass sculptures, and the crazed slab our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
