A solid block of clear resin, crackled through with fine internal fractures, stands on a squared timber base in a bronze-brown finish, and the piece lights: switched on, the whole block glows a warm amber and the fractures show as bright lines. A cable leaves the base at the back.
The block is solid clear resin with fine fractures held deep in its body, so they read as pale veils by day and as bright lines through the amber glow when it is lit, and no two blocks are crazed alike. Its faces are polished flat, which keeps the crackle inside the block rather than on its surface. The base is timber, squared and finished in a bronze-brown tone, and the block is set on it level so the two read as one column from every side.
Floor-standing, it suits the side of a sofa or a bed, a hallway or the far end of a corridor, where its glow carries across the space. Switched off it reads as a block of ice on a timber plinth; switched on it becomes the warmest thing in the room. It needs a socket within reach of its cable. Indoor use only.
Give it 3–4 weeks as a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks as a bespoke commission. The block can be made to other proportions, the crackle can be denser or lighter, and the timber base can be finished darker or paler. The timber for the base is selected when the order is placed. Pedestals ordered together are matched in the tone of their glow. The block and the base travel in separate padded crates, and one person can set it up. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A crackled block that glows amber on a timber base sits with our contemporary and modern sculptures; as a lit pedestal it joins our art furniture, and a hallway or bedroom our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
