This resin bench is one block of clear cast material, worked over its ends and both long faces into a coarse chiselled texture that catches light in flakes. The top is the exception: it is left smooth and flat, so the piece invites use on the one surface where texture would be unwelcome. Two brushed stainless blades carry it, placed so a length of block reaches past each of them.
Working every face but one is more demanding than working all of them, because the boundary has to be a decision rather than a stopping point. The chiselling runs right up to the top arris and is cut off there cleanly, so from above the bench reads as a plain flat plane and from any other angle as a rough block, and the change happens along a line that has to stay straight the whole length. A coarse texture in clear resin also behaves differently from the same texture in stone: each flake acts on the light passing through the body, so the interior reads as full of small bright facets rather than as a clear mass. The blades are brushed rather than polished, which keeps them quiet under all that activity. No two blocks flake alike.
This wants to be walked past rather than looked down on, because the worked faces are on the sides. A hall, a wide landing, the long side of a dining room. Raking light along the length is what brings the chisel work up, so a wall light at one end does far more than a ceiling fitting overhead. The smooth top means it takes real use: bags, books, someone sitting. Give the two ends a hand's width of space, since they carry the coarsest work and are the parts that catch.
Allow 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. Texture depth can be taken coarser or brought down to a fine tooth, and the smooth zone can be extended down the front face if a cleaner profile is wanted. Overall length is yours to set. A tint can be introduced into the resin, and the blades are available polished, painted, or in a darker metal. Blade position is set out at order, since moving them toward the ends changes the whole balance of the piece. The block comes apart from its blades for delivery, so the bench does not have to be carried in one piece. The block wants three people at this length. Each blade is a one-person carry. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Every face worked but the one you sit on belongs with our stainless steel sculptures; chisel work that catches light in flakes leads to our organic sculptures, and seating to run beside a broad landing joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
