Clear Cast Resin Slab Table Base in Two Designs - 77/96cm
Clear Cast Resin Slab Table Base in Two Designs - 77/96cm $11,07600
Description

This table base in clear cast resin is made to take a slab top and is offered in two designs of the same height. The Flared Pedestal is a single column, narrow at its foot and opening like a trumpet into a broad, rippling crown. The Rippled Block is the wider of the two, a broad mass whose sides fall in deep vertical folds like frozen water. The base is sold alone; the top is not included.

Two Clear Bases for a Slab Top

A slab table is only as good as what it stands on, and both of these bases are made to look like water holding the top up. The Flared Pedestal does it with one gesture, a column that rises narrow and opens out, so a round or oval top seems balanced on a single jet. The Rippled Block does it with mass, a broad body whose surface falls in folds like a frozen waterfall, which suits a long top of stone or timber. Both are clear, so the top appears to float above them.

With a slab of glass, stone or timber on top, either base makes a console, a writing table or a low dining table for a living room, a hall or a dining room. The Flared Pedestal suits a round or oval top in a compact room; the Rippled Block suits a long top along a wall or under a window. Light from the side shows the folds and the flare at their best.

Two Designs, the Top and Delivery

Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. Choose the Flared Pedestal or the Rippled Block; either can be made to another height to suit the top, tinted a pale amber, blue or smoke, or frosted. A frosted base hides the floor beneath it and reads as carved ice. Both designs are sold at one price. Each base travels in its own crate, and two people position it and bring the top down onto it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Two clear bases made to carry a slab top belong to our art furniture; their poured forms suit our organic sculptures, the clear casting our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.

Questions Before You Order?

If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
