This console is one continuous curve of clear resin: a flat oval top sweeps out from the head of a gathered fluted column, which curves down and forward into a broad foot, so the whole piece reads as one movement. The top is cantilevered clear of that foot, so it reaches out over open floor.
Top, column and foot are continuous, with nothing joined along the curve - which is what the cantilever needs, because the far end of the top puts its load through the whole of that sweep. The flutes are modelled into the mould and gather as the column turns, which is what gives the curve its thickness where the bending is greatest. The foot is faced flat and its area is set against the reach of the top. Every surface is polished, the underside of the oval included.
It works as a hall console or a narrow desk, and with the top cantilevered, one end has open floor beneath it. Approach it from the side the foot is on: the reach is the point of the piece and it reads best where it can be seen in profile. The foot bears on a broad area, so a hard level floor suits it and a deep pile does not.
Ordinarily a standard piece needs 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. Most of it is the cantilevered sweep. Three things can change. The reach of the top is drawn to order, the flute count on the column is open, and a tint is taken through the whole casting. The top length and the overall height are whatever you specify. Put the whole order in at once and the curve of the sweep carries across every piece. The oval top edge and the broad foot are padded first, and the piece travels on its foot rather than on its side, which two people manage between them. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
One curve carrying a top far out over open floor belongs with our organic sculptures; against a hallway wall it joins our art furniture, the clear sweep our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
