Description

A trunk rising out of a level root sweep and breaking into a canopy whose reach stops just short of the height, every branch of it drawn as its own member. Colourless throughout, so the branches carry whatever tone stands behind them and nothing of their own. No stone is included beneath it; the root sweep is cut level and carries the whole tree.

A Canopy Drawn Branch by Branch

A canopy just inside the height is read as a vertical, so this one is drawn to be seen from in front and the depth is kept deliberately shallow. Holding the span just inside the height is what keeps it a vertical, and the depth is kept deliberately shallow so that the whole canopy can be read from in front rather than walked around. The resin is the whole of the density here, since a colourless canopy shows every branch through the ones standing behind it. Polished on every branch and along the root sweep, so the eye runs from one to the other without a change of surface.

It suits a console or a wide cabinet top, because the span stays just inside the height and the piece reads as a vertical. Give it a quiet ground. A busy wall behind a colourless canopy turns the branching into noise. Light from one side puts a second version of the canopy on the wall behind, which is half of what it does. The eye reads the silhouette from the doorway and the leaf count only from a pace away.

A Wider Canopy, and a Crate Packed on Its Side

Allow 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. If you would rather a wider canopy, it is drawn at the order; the trunk is set at another angle on request and a stone base is available. Widen the canopy and the trunk is thickened to match, because a span past the height stops being carried and starts being balanced. Crated lying down with the canopy protected, then raised upright once it is in the room. Two people, hands on the trunk. A branch will not take the weight. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A clear tree whose canopy stops just short of its height belongs to our organic sculptures; the branching casting sits within our resin sculptures, and its branching reads best against plain paint among our indoor sculptures.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
