A vertical spine of clear resin from which arms reach out at four different heights, the longest of them close to the middle so that the silhouette reads as a rough cross. Three openings pass through the body: a small one high on the right, a broad oval beneath the crossing and a third low in the trunk, which twists as it comes down to its foot. It is made colourless, and in green, amber and orange-red.
The arms are what make this a form to walk round. They leave the spine at four levels and in four directions, none opposite another, so the silhouette changes completely as you walk round it and there is no angle from which the piece reads as flat. Each arm tapers to a blunt point and they are all different lengths, the two at the middle reaching furthest. The surface is worked into facets that follow the direction of each arm rather than running over them, so light breaks along the limbs instead of across them. The trunk flares a little at the foot, which is broad enough for the cross to stand on.
At 83cm it is a floor-standing piece as much as a surface one: it works on a low plinth, at the end of a hall, or on a wide sideboard where its footprint is not crowded. It needs clearance all round for the arms to read, so it should not go against a wall or into an alcove. A plain background and a light from one side give it its clearest reading, and the branching silhouette carries well across a room. Indoor use only.
Time separates the two: a bespoke commission takes 5–6 weeks, a standard piece 3–4. On a low plinth the arms come up to eye level, which is where the form works. A stone base can be made to order where one is wanted. The colourless casting reads as ice, and the green, amber and orange-red castings each gather their colour toward the foot; other tints are made from the studio range, and how high the colour climbs is set at order. The arm tips are the parts that will chip, and there are eight of them, so the piece travels bedded in shaped foam cut to its silhouette and is lifted around the spine and never by an arm. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A spine branching into a rough cross belongs with our abstract sculptures; arms reaching out at four heights join our organic sculptures, and a colourless casting standing on its own foot suits our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
