Clear Branch Set Cast Stump Stool (41cm) by Giant Sculptures, a fluted clear resin stump with dark stems and golden leaves clustered at mid-height, shown on a plain white background.
Clear Branch Set Cast Stump Stool - 41cm $5,60200
Description

A colourless stump stool with a lobed and deeply fluted profile. Thin dark stems stand inside the clear body, upright or leaning, running from a little above mid height down to the foot, and curled golden leaves cling to them in a loose cluster around the middle. Above the cluster the material is empty and clear up to the top.

Dark Stems and Golden Leaves Standing in Clear Resin

Everything here depends on how sparse the inclusion is. A few stems and a scatter of leaves stand in a great deal of clear material, so the stool reads as water with something caught in it rather than as a thicket. The stems are thin and dark, some still carrying a fork, and they run down to the foot in fine lines; the leaves are curled blades the colour of old gold, gathered where the stems branch. Around them the flutes pull a bright line down each crest, and the inclusion shows behind the crests as well as between them, broken up and shifting as you walk round. The top quarter is empty, which lets the clear stump read as glass before the eye finds the leaves.

At 41cm this is low for a seat and right for a side table, which is how it is best used: beside a low chair, at the end of a sofa, or as a plant stand where the twigs and the plant answer each other. It needs light through it rather than on it, so a window behind it or a lamp low to one side does far more than a downlight. Against a busy floor the stems and leaves are lost; a plain pale floor holds them. It is heavy for its size and needs nothing beneath it. Indoor use only.

Where the Inclusion Sits, and What Else Can Be Held in It

Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. A clear body shows everything, so the finishing is unforgiving. Where the inclusion sits is specified at order: through the lower body as here, gathered into a single band, or held near the top over a clear foot. What is held in it is a choice too: leafy stems as here, dried grasses or seed heads, chosen from the studio's own dried stock, and a sample is approved before work begins. Density runs from this sparse scatter to a packed mass. Diameter and height move together, and a wider, higher stool can be made to order. It travels upright in one crate, and it is a two-person lift for the weight rather than the size. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Leafy stems caught in a clear stump give this stool its place among our organic sculptures; it seats or serves as part of our art furniture, and its glassy fluting ties it to our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
