Clear Bowl & Returning Arm Resin Sculpture, 65cm, abstract wave-form in clear resin with a looping arm and spiked rim, on a black base against a plain light grey background.
Clear Bowl & Returning Arm Resin Sculpture - 65cm $2,36300
Description

Cast entirely in colourless resin, this splash opens at its foot into a bowl whose rim breaks into tall, uneven points. On one side a spray of fingers stretches out low, while on the other a broad wing of water rises from the rim and turns over into a single arm. The arm runs across the piece, framing an oval opening, then rises, turns right back on its own path and ends in a long spike well above the water, a small horn standing next to it.

Colourless Resin and a Single Looping Arm

Without any tint, the piece is read entirely through its outline and the way light catches its edges. The bowl's points and its spray of fingers give the foot a broken, busy silhouette; the arm is smooth by contrast, a single rounded strand that climbs and turns back over the water. Clear resin suits that contrast: where the bowl is thick and folded it fills with highlights, while the arm keeps to one bright line along each edge, so the eye moves from the turbulence at the foot to the calm of the loop.

A sideboard or a hall console suits it, and at 65cm the loop of the arm comes up to meet the eye there. Colourless resin takes on its surroundings, so set it against a dark or richly coloured wall, or close to a window so that side light catches every point of the rim. Seen edge-on, the arm folds into the bowl, so turn the open face of the loop towards the room.

A Clear Splash, Tint to Order and Shipping

Set aside 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The price covers one colourless splash, sold individually. As a commission a tint can be run into the bowl, or right up through the arm and its spike, and the arm's loop widened or pulled in tighter over the water. It is packed upright in a braced case, the arm wrapped along its whole length and the fingers of the rim cushioned, and it should always be lifted by the bowl. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A colourless splash with one arm looping back above its torn rim belongs in our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
