A cast resin sculpture, a small cube with equal sides holding one dried botanical specimen suspended inside it. The specimen sits clear of all six faces, so it is read through the material from any direction and appears to float. The faces are polished flat and the arrises left crisp. One cube is supplied per order, and which specimen it holds is chosen at order rather than fixed in advance.
The whole point is the suspension. Because nothing touches a face, there is a few millimetres of clear material on all sides of the specimen, and that margin is what makes a dried seed head look deliberate rather than embedded: it reads as a thing being presented, in the manner of a museum mount, and the cube reads as the vitrine. The specimens themselves are the kind that hold their shape and colour dry - flower heads that keep their disc, seed pods, thistle heads, small papery lanterns, umbels that keep their spokes - and they run through ochres, rusts, ambers and creams rather than any bright colour. Set the cube on a printed page and the type beneath shows through it, which is the usual test people apply to one first.
At 9cm this is a desk and shelf object. A desk, a bookshelf, a hall table, a mantelpiece or a windowsill all suit it, and it needs nothing under it. A windowsill is the position that flatters it most, because daylight through the cube throws the specimen's own shadow onto the surface beneath and doubles it. They are made to be grouped, and a run of six or nine along a shelf reads as a collection where one on its own reads as a paperweight. Keep them where they will be picked up: the cube is meant to be handled and turned, and behind glass it loses the thing it does best. Indoor use only.
Bespoke commissions take 5–6 weeks; standard pieces take 3–4. The specimen is the decision and it is made at order from what the studio has dried and holds ready, so it is agreed by description before work starts rather than picked from a fixed list: seed heads, pods, flower discs, lanterns and umbels are the recurring families, and availability moves with the season. Density is a choice too, from a single specimen centred in the cube to three lesser ones arranged through the depth. Other cube sizes are made to order, and a rectangular block is offered where two specimens are to be stacked. Because these are individually chosen, a group ordered together is composed as a group, which is how most go out. Each cube is boxed on all six faces, since a polished arris is the part that suffers, and a group of nine ships in one carton. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
One dried specimen floating in a polished cube sits with our abstract sculptures; small cast work of this kind is gathered in our contemporary and modern sculptures, and as a desk object it belongs to our indoor sculptures.

Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
