One sheet bent twice makes the whole of this bench. The seat runs long and level, and at each end the material turns down through a broad radius and continues to the ground as a leg. There is no frame, no bracket and no change of material anywhere in it - the same clear surface carries along the seat, round both curves and down both legs. It keeps the same section from end to end.
Two bends in one sheet at this length is the whole difficulty. Each radius has to be taken over a former with the sheet heated along a narrow band, and the two bands must be exactly parallel or the bench stands on a twist that no amount of adjustment afterwards will take out. The first bend is set and allowed to cool through before the second is attempted, because reheating near a finished curve lets it relax. The radius itself is generous by design: a tight turn in a clear sheet crazes on the outside of the curve and the crazing catches light along the whole length of the bend. Both cut ends are polished, and they are the only cut edges the bench has.
A long bench with nothing under it but two curves gets in the way of very little, so it belongs where a solid bench would block a view - across a window, along a glazed hall, in front of a run of shelving you want to keep visible. The seat is at the ordinary height, so nobody has to think about it. The floor matters more here than on a legged bench: two continuous feet take no packing at a corner, so a boarded floor that has moved will show as a rock.
Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. The radius can be drawn tighter or opened out, which changes both how much floor the legs cover and how the bench reads from the side. Length and depth are both adjustable, and the sheet is available tinted. Because the bench is one piece it arrives as one piece, with nothing to assemble or break down, so the route has to take its full length in one go and a dog-leg stair will not do it. Two people are needed, lifting under the seat rather than by a leg. The whole surface is filmed and the film comes off once it is in place. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
One sheet turned down at either end goes with our acrylic sculptures; a seat and two legs from one surface lead to our geometric sculptures, and a bench that keeps a window clear joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
