This rounded rock of clear resin is swept through with milky white bands that arch over one another like the layers of a split agate, with clear windows opening between them and a fine crackle running over the surface. It rises to a broad, softly humped crown that leans a little to one side. The rock comes with its tall pedestal of black marble, veined in gold and white, which has a broad panel in a warm bronze tone across the upper part of its front face.
The rock is imported clear resin, its milky bands curving in wide arcs from one flank to the other across pockets of water-clear resin that let the eye travel deep into the form. Its surface is left softly rippled and crazed rather than polished flat, so it glints like weathered ice. Beneath it, the pedestal is a squared column of black marble with polished faces, crossed by a web of gold and white veins, and the bronze-toned panel on its front brings a warm sheen below the cool, pale rock.
At 111cm overall it lifts the rock to about chest height, so it can stand on its own in an entrance hall, on a wide stair landing or where a hallway ends. Leave space all round so the bands can be followed from more than one side. Overhead lighting wakes the crackle and the gold veins in the marble, and a plain pale wall behind keeps the outline of the rock sharp. Indoor use only.
Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. Your order is for one rock together with its marble pedestal, sold individually. On commission the bands can be made denser or fainter, the rock can be made at another scale, and the pedestal can be cut from a different stone, with or without the bronze-toned panel. Rock and pedestal are crated separately; the pedestal goes into position first, standing level, and the rock is then raised onto it by two people working from beneath. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Milky strata arching through a clear rock above black marble bring a pedestal piece to our resin sculptures, while its rugged crown suits our abstract sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
