Clear Arched Ring Cast Resin Table Base, 84cm, with melting arch columns and a round grey iron plate top, shown on a plain white background.
Clear Arched Ring Cast Resin Table Base - 84cm $9,04500
Description

This table base is a ring of melting clear resin columns fused into arches and open right through the middle, so the floor shows beneath, with a round iron plate set on its crown. No tabletop comes with it: the base is drawn to carry a large round marble top, with a turntable set on it if wanted.

A Ring of Arches Under an Iron Plate

The arches are cast as one ring rather than made as separate legs and joined, which is why the base reads as a single melting mass with daylight through it. The springing where each arch meets the next is the thinnest material on the piece and it is what sets the schedule. The iron plate is machined flat and bedded onto the ring across its whole circumference, so a top laid on it bears evenly. Every resin face is polished, the insides of the arches included, and the bearing faces are ground to one plane.

It is a base of dining height, drawn for a broad round top of the kind that takes a turntable. The arches are open right through, so the floor is visible under the middle and a rug beneath it becomes part of what is seen. It bears on a broad ring rather than on points, which suits a soft floor as well as a hard one.

The Arches, the Plate, and the Top You Supply

As standard the build runs 3–4 weeks, and as a bespoke commission 5–6. Most of it is the arched ring. You settle three things. The arch count is open, the plate is drilled to your own top, and the ring is drawn to another diameter for a longer or a rounder top. The base span and the base height are named by you. Where two are wanted under one long top, the arches are drawn to match across both bases. The packing is shaped to the iron plate and the arch springings, and moving it is a four-person job. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A ring of melting arches under an iron plate gives our art furniture a base for a dining top; the arches suit our organic sculptures, the ring our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
