Clear Arched Drum Rippled Top Resin Coffee Table (96cm) with cloudy swirls and arched base, shown on a plain white background.
Clear Arched Drum Rippled Top Resin Coffee Table - 96cm $8,57300
Description

This coffee table is a drum in clear resin whose top is a thick disc worked into a shallow relief like broken ice, its wall cut away underneath into tall arches so the piece stands on broad feet. Cloudy swirls run through the material, and they read most clearly at the springing of each arch.

Arches Cut Out From Under a Solid Disc

The disc is cast thick and the relief is modelled into the mould, so the broken-ice surface is part of the pour rather than a treatment on top of it. The arches are cut and then ground back through the full depth of the wall, which is slow work because the inside of an arch has to be brought to the same polish as the outside or the piece reads dull from a seated position. The cloudy swirls are a property of the material and are allowed to fall where they fall.

Round in plan, this coffee table is made for the middle of a ring of seats, where it meets every chair and sofa on equal terms and never needs lining up with any of them. The arches are the part worth seeing, so it works better standing clear on a floor or a rug than pushed against a seat where they are hidden.

The Arch Rise, the Relief, and Moving a Drum

A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. Most of it is the arched wall. You settle three things. The number of arches can be changed, the relief on the top can be worked deeper or brought almost flat, and the drum can be supplied tinted where a clear piece would disappear against a pale floor. Whatever top diameter and overall height you need is quoted. The group is made as one so that the rise of the arches reads the same on each piece. It travels with the arch springings and the disc rim packed clear, and four people can place it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Arched underneath like a small rotunda, this drum is counted with our art furniture, and its broken-ice top keeps it close to our contemporary and modern sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
