Clear & Smoke Light Panel Acrylic Cube Table - 45cm with an open acrylic top and a mottled smoky rose-grey light panel base, shown on a plain white background.
Clear & Smoke Light Panel Acrylic Cube Table - 45cm $2,29400
Description

This acrylic cube table is two things at once. The upper two thirds are open colourless acrylic with nothing in them, so the eye goes straight through. The bottom third is filled by a light panel whose face carries a soft cloudy mottle rather than an even wash, and the panel is set flush inside the four walls so it reads as a solid block of smoky rose-grey sitting in a glass box.

A Mottled White Block Held Inside a Clear Cube

The whole design turns on the join between the two zones, and that join is left completely plain. There is no frame, no shadow gap and no change of section at the line where the light panel stops and the clear body carries on, which is what leaves the panel looking like a solid block instead of a fitting. Getting there means the four walls are cut as one continuous run so the corners have no vertical seam to interrupt, and the panel is sized to the internal dimension with a tolerance tight enough that no gap shows at any of the four faces. The mottle in the panel face is part of the material rather than a print, so it differs from one table to the next, and a panel is chosen for an even spread before it goes in.

Small and lit means it does most of its work in the evening, so put it where you will see it after dark: alongside a sofa, in a bedroom corner, in an alcove that is otherwise unlit. It throws light down and sideways at floor level, so a pale floor doubles the effect and a dark one absorbs it. The open upper half wants something on it that will not block the view through, which in practice means one object rather than several. It is a modest cube and will look lost in the middle of a large room.

Panel Height, the Mottle and the Open Alternative

Time separates the two: a bespoke commission takes 5–6 weeks, a standard piece 3–4. The lit portion can be set at a different fraction of the height, including a version with the panel at the top instead. A colourless panel without the mottle is available where an even face is preferred, and the cube is offered entirely unlit as a plain clear box. The cube arrives assembled with the panel already fitted, and at this size it is a one-person lift. Corners take the impact in transit, so it travels boxed on all six faces. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A mottled block held in a clear cube belongs with our acrylic sculptures; a table that glows after dark leads to our art furniture, and a lit cube for an unlit alcove joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
