Description

Smoke grey and black drift through the clear arc of this resin ring, which stops short of closing so that its ends hang apart. Each end is capped with a crust of clear frosted resin, textured like broken ice, so the ring seems to have snapped from something frozen. It rests on a black marble block, supplied with the ring.

Smoke Drifting Through a Clear Arc

The grey lies in the clear resin in loose drifts rather than lines, so it reads like smoke caught mid-movement inside the ring. Against that softness the two crusts are crisp and white, their frosted texture scattering light where the polished arc lets it straight through. The drifts settle differently in each casting, so no two rings carry the same pattern, and the darker passages give the clear arc a sense of depth that changes as you move past it.

Standing 42cm on its marble, it is at home on a bookcase, a dresser or a console, square to the room. It suits monochrome and grey interiors especially, and a window behind it shows the smoke at its clearest. Against a white wall the frosted ends almost disappear, while a darker ground makes them glow.

Smoke, Ice and a Flat Case

Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. The smoke can be drawn heavier or lighter, or replaced with a colour such as blue or amber, and the frosted ends given a gold leaf finish instead. The space between the ends can be opened further at order for a more dramatic break. It is packed flat in one box with the opening supported from inside and the stone wrapped by itself, and it weighs little enough for one person to handle. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A clear ring that stops short of closing belongs with our organic sculptures; drifts of smoke grey hanging in the arc lead to our resin sculptures, and a quiet piece for a grey room joins our indoor sculptures.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
