The chair's back is a single band of glass-clear resin that climbs from either side of the seat and curves over to make a closed arch. Below it everything is scarlet, a high-gloss seat and four legs that drop from its corners and slim towards the floor. The clear band picks up red reflections where it meets the seat and otherwise lets the room show through.
Here all the colour is kept low. The scarlet is a dense, glossy red with a lacquer-like shine, and it covers the seat and legs evenly on every face. Above it the clear band is colourless and thick, so its edges catch light as bright lines while its faces stay transparent; from most angles the back almost vanishes and the red frame stands alone. Near the seat the clear resin carries a faint pink glow taken from the red beneath. The legs keep a firm square section at the seat and ease into a rounder taper as they descend.
At 75cm to the crown of the arch, it is pitched for dining or for work at a desk. A white or pale timber table shows the scarlet at its strongest, and the clear backs keep a long run of chairs from filling the room. Against a red wall the frame merges into the background and only the arch remains to be seen. Indoors only.
The standard build is 3–4 weeks and the bespoke build 5–6. There is an existing mould for the chair, so no tooling is needed. The scarlet frame can be ordered in another colour, black, blue or amber among them, and the back can be tinted instead of clear. Seat height and the height of the whole chair are fixed at order, and chairs ordered together are coloured as one batch so that their reds agree. Every chair is crated on its own and can be carried indoors by one person. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A clear back over a scarlet frame puts this dining chair in our art furniture; it is intended for our indoor sculptures, while its glass-clear back ties it to our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
