Description

A tall loop cut off level at the floor, with a red branching form growing outward from the inner face of the curve. Colourless through the hook with a red branching form growing from its inner edge, the only colour on the piece. Nothing is supplied beneath it: the hook is cut level where it turns down and stands on that.

The Only Colour Is on the Inside

Everything else on the piece is empty curve, which is why the branch sits where the loop is deepest rather than where it would be most obvious. Move it toward the tip and it stops being held by anything, which at this height is the difference between a detail and a weight. Putting the only colour on the inside of a colourless loop means the material carries it twice, once directly and once through the far wall of the hook. The loop is polished and the red is left matt, which keeps the branch from ever catching what the curve catches.

It belongs at the foot of a stairwell or along a hall, turned so the inside of the loop faces the room. It needs a dark wall to read against, or the colourless loop has no edge and the red has no neighbour. Light from behind sets the whole loop going and leaves the red matt, which is the arrangement the piece is drawn for. The eye runs the loop from foot to tip across a stairwell, and the branching resolves at a pace or two.

Carrying the Branching Round, and a Tall Case

Set aside 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. On request the branching is carried further round, the red is exchanged, or the hook is made at another height. Carry the branching further and the loop is thickened to hold it, since the red is the heaviest thing on an otherwise empty curve. Crated standing, and there is no assembly of any kind at the far end. Three people. The loop is thin at the tip and it leads. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A clear loop with red branches growing from its inner face belongs to our organic sculptures; the colourless hook carrying them is resin, as in our resin sculptures, and a stairwell's foot is the spot for it among our indoor sculptures.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
