Clear & Red Broken Ring Resin Sculpture, 60cm, with frosted crystal-like tips and red smoke swirls, set on a black marble base against a plain white background.
Clear & Red Broken Ring Resin Sculpture - 60cm $2,09300
Description

Red smoke curls up from the foot of this broad hoop of clear resin, thinning to faint wisps as it climbs toward the crown. The hoop breaks off short of a full circle, and each tip is crusted in a rough, frosted crystal that looks like spray frozen in mid-air. It stands on black marble, which is included with it.

Red Smoke Inside a Wide Clear Arc

The red sits in the resin as loose, curling smoke rather than as a band, so it moves through the hoop the way dye moves through water. The red gathers most at the foot of the hoop and fades as it rises, so the upper curve is almost clear. The two crusted tips are worked to an icy, broken texture that scatters light, a deliberate contrast with the glassy polish of the rest, and because the smoke settles differently every time, no two of these hoops are alike. Seen against a window, the red seems to drift.

Standing 60cm on its marble, it wants a broad sideboard or a credenza with room around it. The red is at its most vivid with daylight behind, when the smoke seems to glow, and it reads well against a white or grey wall. In the evening a lamp set to one side brings out the frosted tips and the curl of the smoke.

Red Smoke, Frosted Tips and the Crate

Expect 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks where the commission is bespoke. A denser smoke gives a deeper red and a thinner one a paler wash, and the red itself can be swapped for blue, amber or green. Gold leaf is offered on the tips in place of frost, and the break can be opened further or drawn almost shut. It travels flat in a made-to-measure crate with a spacer across the break and the stone wrapped by itself, and two people should lift it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A broad hoop that breaks off short of a circle belongs with our organic sculptures; red smoke curling inside the hoop leads to our resin sculptures, and a vivid piece above a credenza joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
