A resin stool cast as a clear cylinder, flat at the top and flat where it meets the floor. Set inside are lengths of peeled branch lying level at four separate heights: five in a pale honey colour, each with an oval cut end, and two in a darker reddish brown lying behind them. They read as a series of shelves seen through water.
Because each length lies level and none of them touch, the eye reads depth rather than density: the nearest piece is sharp, the one behind it is a little softened by the material between, and the deepest is a pale blur. The pale lengths are a warm honey, with fine rings showing in each oval end, and the two darker ones add a reddish brown behind them, like a shadow in wood. Because the cylinder is clear from top to bottom, every piece is seen at its own colour, and the curve of the casting stretches each one a little as you move round it. The top face and the base are left plain, so the timber seems to float within the cylinder.
At 48cm the top is level with an ordinary seat, so it can be drawn up to a low table as a stool, stand by an armchair to hold a cup, or carry a lamp or a plant in a corner. The flat top takes a tray or a book without trouble. Put it where light comes in low and each length of timber throws its own shadow onto the floor around it. Against a dark floor the clear cylinder all but disappears and the pieces appear to hang. Indoors only.
A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. The count of levels drives the work rather than the diameter. Four is the standard. Fewer gives a cleaner, quieter object with more empty material between the pieces; more fills the cylinder until it reads as a stack of timber. A tint is the second choice: clear throughout as here, or a smoke grey or a pale amber in the upper or the bottom half. Diameter and height are both made to order, and stock is agreed before work starts. It travels on a purpose built pallet in one crate and arrives in a single piece; two people should move it, because a cylinder this size in solid resin carries real weight. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Seat, side table or lamp stand, it counts as part of our art furniture; the branch lengths at four heights connect it with our organic sculptures, and the clear cylinder with our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
