A clear tree carrying gilt leaves along every branch, standing on a round, dished black base with four gilt spheres of graduated size set around its foot. Colourless through trunk and branch with gold worked into the leaves, and four gold spheres set around the foot. It comes with its base and the four gold spheres.
Gilding the leaves of a colourless tree is the only way of separating canopy from branch in a material that shows both at once. Leaves in a colourless material disappear into the branches that hold them, because both are read through at once. Gilding them is the only way to separate the two, and it puts the weight of attention at the outside of the canopy where the movement is. Gilding the leaves of a colourless resin body means the material stays clear everywhere the gold is not, so the eye is taken outward along the branches rather than held at the trunk. The tree is polished and the leaves and spheres are finished to a gilt, so nothing on it returns the same kind of light.
Floor work, and it wants room on every side because the spheres sit out around the foot rather than under the canopy. It wants a dark ground at its back, so the gold has something to carry against. Light from one side sets the gilt leaves going while the clear branches stay quiet, which is the whole arrangement. The gold reads from the door and the branching is what holds you once you are standing in it.
Delivery follows a 3–4 week build as standard, or a 5–6 week build if bespoke. We will thin the leaves or thicken them, finish the gilt in another metal, or leave the spheres out of the order. Leave the spheres out and the piece closes up into its own footprint, which makes a quieter object for a room that cannot give it the floor. Two crates, the tree standing and the spheres packed apart, and the spheres are placed last. Three people for the tree. Each sphere is a two-handed lift on its own. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A clear tree hung with gilt leaves belongs to our organic sculptures; the four gold spheres round its foot join our metal sculptures, and more for a room with floor to spare is in our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
