In this cast resin splash the colour is kept for the top. The basin at the foot, its ring of jagged crown points and the long spray reaching out to one side are colourless, while a cool sky blue enters part way up the curling wall and runs on through the twisted band, the loop above it and both of its upright points. Beneath the band a slender clear arch stands in the basin, so the blue seems to hover over water that has no colour of its own.
Here the usual order of a splash is turned upside down. Colour normally sinks to where a wave is deepest, at its foot; in this piece the foot is left water-clear and the blue appears only where the wall starts to curl, gathering strength as it travels into the band. Where the ribbons of the band twist across one another the blue doubles into a deeper tone, and where they open out it fades to the paleness of a winter sky, so the knot reads in shades of one colour rather than as a tangle. The loop and its points carry the same blue to the very top, which is what gives the upper half its weight.
Because the colour sits high, it wants a place where the top half is seen against a plain, pale wall. Standing 81cm, it brings the blue loop up towards eye level when set on a low plinth or a broad console, and the colourless basin then reads almost as a pool on the surface. A white or stone-coloured wall keeps the band's blues distinct, where a busy paper behind it would swallow them, and daylight from one side picks out the twist of the band most clearly.
A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. The point where the blue begins can be moved, further down the wall for a heavier top or up into the band for a lighter one, and the blue itself can be made deeper or paler. The reach of the spray and the opening of the loop are drawn to order, and the splash can be made at whatever scale a room calls for. It travels upright in a foam-lined crate with the loop and its points braced, and it needs no assembling: lift it by the basin, never by the band or the loop, and set it down where it is to stand. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Blue gathered overhead above a colourless foot makes this splash one of our organic sculptures, sits it among our resin sculptures and keeps it with our indoor sculptures.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
