Clear & Blue Breaking Splash Resin Sculpture, 60cm, with a clear upper lobe flowing into deep blue below, set on a black square base against a plain white background.
Clear & Blue Breaking Splash Resin Sculpture - 60cm $1,82200
Description

One lobe flaring outward and a second reaching up and over it, with the tone changing from deep to clear across the waist where the two meet. Colourless in the upper lobe and deep blue through the one beneath it, with the change happening across the waist. A black base is included beneath it, square and shallow.

Two Lobes and a Change of Colour Between Them

Making a colour change inside one body rather than joining two is what keeps the waist readable as water: a seam would read as a repair, and the graduation across it reads as motion instead. Two tones in one body means the join has to be made in the casting rather than at a seam, and a clear upper lobe over a blue one shows exactly where the change was made. Polished over both lobes, and the waist between them is taken to the same grade so the colour change is the only change.

It wants a desk or a night stand, turned so the upper lobe reaches toward the room. A pale ground at its back, because the blue beneath needs something to be dark against. Light from one side lifts the clear lobe off the blue one; flat light stacks the two together. The reach of the upper lobe reads from across a room, and the change of colour at the waist is a near fact.

More Reach in the Upper Lobe, and Nothing to Fix

Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. If you would rather more reach in the upper lobe, it is drawn longer before casting, and either tone can be had on its own. Draw the upper lobe further out and the blue beneath is widened, since that is what keeps the reach standing. It arrives boxed with its stone underneath and needs nothing done to it. One person with both hands, lifting from under the base. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Water breaking into two lobes belongs to our organic sculptures; the clear lobe reaching over the blue ties it to our resin sculptures, and a bedroom or a study keeps it close among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
