Clear & Blue Arched Abstract Resin Sculpture, 97cm, with blue pooling at the base and fin fading into a clear arched top, on a white block base against a white background.
Clear & Blue Arched Abstract Resin Sculpture - 97cm $2,29400
Description

An arched upright in clear resin with blue gathered low: the colour pools in the foot and the fin and fades out as the body climbs, leaving the arch and its flared top clear. It stands on a white block, which is supplied with it. The white under the blue makes the bottom half of the piece bright rather than heavy.

Blue Pooled in the Foot and the Fin

Putting the blue low turns the usual reading of this arch upside down: the weight of colour sits at the foot, where the piece meets its block, and the top is left to the light. The fin carries the deepest blue, because it is where the body turns and the colour gathers. Above the fin the resin clears gradually, with no line where the blue stops, so the arch seems to rise out of water. A full polish over every face keeps the clear upper half bright.

Set it on a console or a wide shelf, with the fin and the foot near eye level. A mid-toned wall behind it lets the clear arch show; against white the top all but disappears. Daylight from one side runs along the arch, and a lamp placed low makes the blue foot glow. It sits well in a bright room with pale floors.

Where the Blue Stops, and Delivery

Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. The blue can be carried higher into the arch or kept to the foot, and another colour can take its place. The white block can be exchanged for black marble. A grey and green version and a dark blue version of the same arch are each sold as their own piece. Block and arch travel in one crate, and one person can set it up, holding it by the standing body. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

More clear castings with colour gathered at the foot are found in our resin sculptures, alongside further arched and flowing shapes in our organic sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
