Clear Amber Sliver Rock Arch Resin Sculpture on Wood Base - 97cm
Clear Amber Sliver Rock Arch Resin Sculpture on Wood Base - 97cm $3,71000
Description

This glassy rock of imported clear resin rises steeply on the left to a high, rounded crown, then runs down over a string of knobbly bumps to a dip before lifting again to a second rounded summit on the right. Near the middle, a wide and low arch pierces the foot, so the rock stands on two broad feet like a natural bridge of ice. Slender slivers of deep amber, pointed at both ends, drift across both halves at different angles, and the rock comes with its long honey-toned timber base.

Amber Slivers Drifting Over a Natural Bridge

Its faces are crinkled and rippled all over, like the skin of a frozen pond, and a web of fine pale creases runs across them, a few touched with a rusty tint, so the clear body has the look of crazed ice. The slivers are smooth and almond-shaped, a rich amber that deepens to toffee at the centre of each, and several carry a faint fold along their length. With the resin glassy all the way through, every sliver stays in view whether you stand in front of the rock or behind it. Its base is a honey-coloured timber plank whose open grain runs the full length, and whose ends angle inwards.

Laid along a sideboard or a broad credenza, it reads as a whole landscape in miniature, and in a hallway or a reception area it gives a long wall a strong point of focus. Against a plain wall the crazed lines are easy to follow, and daylight from the side makes the amber slivers glow. It deserves a surface a little longer than its base. Indoor use only.

A Single Rock Arch, Packed for the Road

Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. One rock and its honey-toned base make up each order, and the price is for that single piece. On commission the amber slivers can become dried leaves or copper-toned flakes, the crazing can be kept finer or left out for a calmer surface, and the plank beneath can come in a deeper-toned wood; the arch can be made at other sizes too. It travels in a padded crate, and on arrival the base is unpacked first and laid level before two people ease the rock down onto it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Deep amber slivers crossing a glassy natural bridge of resin give our resin sculptures a sense of open landscape, alongside our abstract sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
