Clear Amber Sliver Long Ridge Rock Resin Sculpture on Black Base - 50cm
Clear Amber Sliver Long Ridge Rock Resin Sculpture on Black Base - 50cm $2,56300
Description

This clear resin rock climbs steeply at the left to a pointed peak, then lets its ridge run down in a long, gradual line to a flattened crest at the right, and a small arch opens through its foot at the centre. Slivers ranging from pale straw to deep amber lie scattered across the middle of the body. It stands on a black wooden base, included in the price, and the rock is sold as a single piece.

Straw and Amber Along a Falling Ridge

The body is clear cast resin with broad, glassy faces broken by fine fracture lines, and its skyline stays rough and crested from the peak to the far end. Inside, the slivers turn at different angles, so some flash bright while others show only a dark edge, and their colour moves between straw and burnt amber. The arch at the foot lets a slip of the wall behind be seen beneath the rock. The base is wood finished in black, a plain block that keeps the eye on the clear form above it.

A long sideboard or a console suits the way its ridge runs out sideways, and a deep shelf or a study desk gives it room as well. Against a plain wall the peak reads clearly from the doorway, and a lamp placed to one side brings up the amber in the slivers. Leave a little clear space at each end so the long line can finish. Indoor use only.

Sliver Tone, Base Colour and Packing

A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. The slivers can be swapped for metal leaf or a different inclusion, and the base can take a natural timber finish or be made in marble instead. The outline can be drawn afresh for a bespoke commission, and a different size can be cast on request. Each rock leaves the workshop in a crate cut to fit, its base packed beside it, and anyone unpacking it should hold the resin body, not the peak. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A pointed peak trailing a long ridge to the right sits among our abstract sculptures; clear and flecked with amber, it belongs to our resin sculptures, and its black wooden base suits a sideboard beside our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
