Description

Like a lone mountain, this rock of clear resin rises to one broad summit a little left of centre, with a step on each flank on the way down to the foot. Slivers of amber and khaki inside often meet two at a time and open in a V, while a few single curved ones sit low on the right. A low black base, longer than the rock itself, is included, and each rock is priced and sold on its own.

A Lone Summit Scattered with Amber

The resin is shaped into long, sweeping facets that run down from the summit like weathered ice, their edges rough and their broad planes glassy. Seen through those planes, the slivers keep a warm amber tone against the clear body, some turned flat to the front and some edge-on. The base is a low wooden plinth finished in black, longer than the rock so that a margin of black shows at each end. Every rock has its own spread of slivers, never quite repeated.

Its width wants a generous surface such as a sideboard, a long console or a reception desk, where the summit can be seen from either side of a room. Against a light wall the clear body almost disappears and the slivers seem to hang in the air; against a dark one the facets show more strongly. Indoor use only.

What Can Change Before It Is Made

Most pieces are standard and take 3–4 weeks; a bespoke commission takes 5–6. Metal leaf can be chosen in place of the amber slivers, and the black base can be traded for natural timber or for marble. A bespoke summit can be modelled from your sketch, and the scale can be altered to suit a particular wall or surface. It ships in a fitted wooden crate with the base packed on its own, and the rock is lifted by its body, never by the summit. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
