Classical Portrait Bust Bronze Bust 60cm by Giant Sculptures, depicting Mozart in three-quarter profile with dark patina, on a reddish-orange marble pedestal.
Classical Portrait Bust Bronze Bust - 60cm $18,12000
Description

The Classical Portrait Bust stands at 60cm and presents a head-and-shoulders likeness of the celebrated 18th-century composer, rendered with studied fidelity to period costume and formal portraiture convention. The three-quarter profile, swept-back hair, ruffled cravat, and double-breasted coat combine to produce a composition of quiet authority.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished on a Marble Pedestal

The bust is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, which captures the precise articulation of the lapels, the layered folds of the cravat, and the fine texture of late 18th-century tailoring. The surface carries a dark brown bronze patina with subtle greenish-brown oxidation settling into the recessed areas, lending the piece the visual depth associated with museum-grade classical bronze portraiture. A small rectangular bronze socle inscribed with the composer's name sits immediately beneath the bust, formally identifying the subject.

The bust is mounted on a two-part marble pedestal: a turned baluster-form column in warm reddish-orange marble with pronounced natural veining, set on a square marble plinth. The contrast between the cool, dark bronze and the warm, luminous stone creates a refined material dialogue suited to formal interiors. This piece belongs in a study, library, music room, entrance hall, or gallery-style living space. It pairs naturally with dark wood furniture, leather upholstery, aged gilt frames, and rich wall tones.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer a range of patina finishes beyond the standard dark brown, including verde antico, warm mid-brown, and polished natural bronze. The pedestal marble can be specified in alternative stone colourways on request. For portrait commissions inspired by the work of other historical or contemporary figures, or for scaled variants of this piece, contact us before ordering so we can discuss requirements directly.
