The Classical Ornate Urn Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 160cm and commands immediate attention through its dense accumulation of classical ornament: high-relief bearded male face medallions, swag garlands, crossed torch motifs, and a wide flared rim dressed in egg-and-dart moulding. Mounted on a round pedestal transitioning to a square plinth, it reads as an architectural object as much as a sculptural one.
This piece is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, a process that allows every undercut and raised detail to transfer faithfully from the original model into metal. The antique bronze finish is achieved through controlled chemical patination; the dark blackish base deepens in the recesses while green verdigris pools naturally around the relief work, giving the surface a quality of age that only genuine bronze develops. The large scrolled acanthus leaf handles are cast separately and attached with structural precision, ensuring they hold their form at this scale and weight.
At 160cm and 130kg, this urn is suited to entrance courts, formal terraces, grand reception halls, and colonnaded outdoor spaces. Its scale and palette respond well to pale stone, white render, and dark slate surrounds. The antique bronze garden urn works equally as a centrepiece vessel or as a flanking pair either side of a formal doorway or staircase. Being cast bronze throughout, it is fully weatherproof and will continue to develop a living patina in outdoor conditions.
Custom sizing is possible within the krater-urn form. If you require a matched pair, a specific height to suit an architectural setting, or a personalised relief element added to the body, contact us before ordering so we can confirm specification and pricing. We are also happy to discuss commissions inspired by historical urn forms for estate and heritage projects.
