The Classical Military Bust Bronze Bust stands 60cm tall on its stepped dark pedestal, presenting a forward-facing figure in full military dress: bicorne hat with decorative cockade, upturned coat collar, and a stern, composed expression that commands the room.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this handcrafted bronze bust is finished by hand to achieve a warm brown patina with subtle golden highlights on the raised surfaces of the hat brim, collar, and facial planes. The contrast between the luminous bronze figure and the near-black stepped circular pedestal base is deliberate, giving the piece a gallery-quality presence that reads clearly from across a room. As a solid cast bronze sculpture, the piece carries substantial weight at 52kg, a characteristic of its quality and permanence.
This bust suits formal interior settings with confidence: a mahogany-lined study, a marble-floored entrance hall, a panelled library, or a contemporary gallery wall. The dark base grounds the composition against both warm and cool palettes. Its placement suitability extends to sheltered outdoor settings, where the patinated bronze will weather gracefully over time. It reads equally well placed at eye level on a console or raised on a plinth to create a focal point in a larger space.
We offer a range of patina finishes including verde green, dark brown, black, and polished golden bronze. The scale can be adjusted to suit your space, from a compact desk piece to an oversized statement bust for an institutional setting. If you are considering a bespoke commission, contact us before ordering so we can confirm specification, finish, and timeline.
