Classical Female Bust Bronze Bust, 75cm, dark-patinated Art Nouveau figure "Ethne" with flowing hair, gilt floral accent, and integral pedestal, shown against a plain white background.
Classical Female Bust Bronze Bust - 75cm $17,50800
Description

The Classical Female Bust, standing 75cm tall, is a refined Art Nouveau figure cast in dark-patinated bronze, with long flowing hair that merges organically into a tapered integral pedestal inscribed with the name Ethne.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished with Gilt Detail

This piece is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, ensuring that every surface detail is captured with precision: the soft modelling of the facial features, the sinuous fall of the hair across the shoulders, and the organic transition from figure into base. The dark brown bronze patina is applied and worked by hand, building depth across the smooth planes while leaving raised surfaces at a higher reflectivity. The gilt gold finish applied to the lily and tulip floral motif at the chest is executed as a deliberate accent, contrasting the warmth of gold against the deeper tonal field of the bronze. The result is a piece with genuine sculptural presence, not decorative approximation. The integral stepped plinth carries the inscription Ethne in relief, lending the work the character of a commemorative or collector-grade object.

At 75cm and 25kg, this is a substantial interior piece. It suits a library, hallway console, or dedicated plinth in a formal living space. The dark patina reads well against warm neutrals, aged timber, stone flooring, and deep-coloured wall treatments. Its classical Art Nouveau lineage places it comfortably in both period interiors and considered contemporary rooms where sculptural weight is a deliberate choice.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

Patina finish can be adjusted to a warm mid-brown, a verde verde green antiqued tone, or a polished raw bronze where preferred. The scale of the piece can be modified to suit your specific setting. Bespoke inscription on the base plinth is available, making this a particularly strong candidate for a personalised commemorative piece or gifted commission, inspired by the work of Art Nouveau figurative sculptors working in the Belle Époque tradition. Contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.

Questions Before You Order?

If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.

The metal of antiquity

Solid Cast Bronze

Every one of our cast bronze sculptures is poured in solid bronze, the alloy sculptors have prized for more than five thousand years. It is heavier, warmer and far more enduring than any resin imitation, giving each bronze statue a depth and presence that only real metal can.

Poured by hand

Foundry Cast

Each piece is cast in a working foundry, where molten bronze is poured at over a thousand degrees, then cooled, broken out and worked by hand. It is a craft refined over centuries, and it is the reason every bronze sculpture carries the mark of the people who made it.

Made to your measure

Fully Bespoke

Have something specific in mind? We can scale the size, choose the patina and take on full commissions, casting a one-off bronze sculpture to your exact brief. Tell us what you picture, and our artists will make it.

A finish that lives

Hand-Patinated

Colour is brought to bronze by hand. Our finishers work each patina with heat and patience, so no two pieces are ever quite the same. Left outdoors, that patina keeps evolving, softening from bright metal into the deep greens and browns that collectors prize.

Built to outlast us all

Weatherproof for Life

Bronze has survived three thousand years of history, and ours is made to do the same. It shrugs off rain, frost and sun, which is exactly what makes bronze garden statues such a sound investment. Every piece is backed by our lifetime guarantee.

Anywhere in the world

Free Worldwide Shipping

Solid bronze is heavy, so we handle the hard part. Every sculpture travels by fully insured worldwide sea freight and arrives at your door in perfect condition, with nothing to pay on delivery.

Two large, black bear-shaped sculptures stand indoors near a window with a view of a yard. One sculpture is in the foreground with its back to the viewer, and the other faces forward, creating a mirrored effect. Trees and a chair are visible outside.
A shiny metallic bear sculpture stands on the corner of a modern buildings patio, mirrored by another similar black figure in the foreground. The area features minimalistic architecture with large glass windows.
