Classical Egyptian Queen Bust by Giant Sculptures in black patina with gold-highlighted nemes headdress, usekh collar, and winged scarab, on a plain background.
Classical Egyptian Queen Bust Bronze Bust (Nemes Headdress) - 80cm $18,23100
Description

The Classical Egyptian Queen Bust stands 80cm tall, presenting a forward-facing royal figure in dark black-brown patina with warm gold highlights that trace every element of her ceremonial regalia. The composition is immediate and commanding: shoulders squared, expression composed, the entire form radiating the stillness of a carved temple idol translated into cast bronze.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

This piece is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting process, in which each detail is first modelled in wax, encased in ceramic shell, and then replaced by molten bronze poured at temperature. The result is a surface that holds fine detail faithfully, from the pleated striped panels of the nemes headdress to the engraved interlocking rope borders along the bodice. A uraeus cobra crown sits at the forehead with a gold-tone accent; a broad usekh collar fans across the chest with individually defined register lines; large circular hoop earrings catch the eye at either side. At the lower chest, a winged scarab motif anchors the composition, centred on a raised gold orb and flanked by outstretched wings rendered in close relief. The hand-applied two-tone patina, a deep black-brown base with selectively burnished bronze and gold highlights, gives the piece the quality of a museum artefact rather than a reproduction.

At 80cm and 65kg this is a substantial presence. It suits a wide range of interior settings: a grand entrance hall, a study lined with dark timber shelving, a contemporary art space with white walls and polished concrete floors. The dual-tone palette, anchored in black and gold, works with both warm and neutral decorating schemes. The piece is equally suited to sheltered outdoor settings such as a covered terrace, a portico, or a formal garden pavilion, where the dark patina will weather gracefully over time.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer this bust in alternative patina finishes including verdigris, mid-brown antique, and polished natural bronze. Scale variations are available on request, from a smaller desk or plinth version through to an enlarged monumental commission. For clients wishing to explore a custom variant inspired by the work of a specific ancient Egyptian iconographic tradition, our studio team is happy to discuss options before casting begins. Contact us before ordering to confirm your preferred finish, scale, or any bespoke requirements.
