The Classical Crowned Female Bronze Bust stands 80cm tall on its integral tiered pedestal, presenting a forward-facing figure with a slight three-quarter turn to the left. A small decorative crown sits above an elaborately braided and coiled hairstyle, while bare shoulders emerge beneath a gathered draped robe fastened at the chest with a decorative cord clasp.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this solid cast bronze bust carries a rich dark brown patina that deepens within the recessed folds of the drapery and lifts to polished highlights across the crown, shoulders, and raised relief of the embossed emblem on the lower drapery. The result is a surface that reads differently in natural and artificial light, rewarding close inspection. As a hand-finished bronze sculpture, each piece carries minor tonal variations that are intrinsic to the process rather than imperfections.
Weighing 65kg and mounted on a round tiered socle base in matching bronze, this piece has the presence and mass to anchor a formal interior: an entrance hall, library, study, or boardroom. It sits equally well in a sheltered outdoor setting such as a covered terrace or loggia, where the patina will evolve gracefully over time. The dark bronze tones complement stone, dark timber, and aged leather palettes with particular authority.
We offer a full range of patina finishes including verde green, mid-brown, black, and warm golden tones. The sculpture can also be scaled to a larger format or adapted as a bespoke commission. If you have a specific patina, scale requirement, or a commemorative brief inspired by the work of Queen Victoria portraiture sculptors, contact us before ordering and we will provide a formal quote.
