Charcoal & Grey-Green Frosted Scoop Resin Sculpture on Marble Base, 39cm, curved bowl form rising into a pale green-grey sheet with dark tip, set on a black base against a plain white background.
Charcoal & Grey-Green Frosted Scoop Resin Sculpture on Marble Base - 39cm $2,09300
Description

Its whole surface frosted to a velvety finish, this scoop rises from a deep bowl whose near end lifts into a rounded tip. From the far side of the bowl a thin sheet climbs, swings over and ends in a broad, rounded cap at the top. The bowl is a smoky charcoal, close to black on its outer wall; up the sheet the colour pales to a frosted grey with a cool green tint, and it darkens once more to a deep grey-green in the cap. A marble base comes with it.

Smoky Charcoal Frosted to a Satin Grey-Green

Frosting changes how this form is read. Polish throws highlights back along every edge; frosting keeps an even, velvety skin, so the shape is carried by tone alone, dark where the bowl is deep and pale where the sheet is fine. The charcoal of the bowl and the grey-green of the cap bracket the climb with a heavy tone at either end and the palest passage between them, and that pale band is where the scoop seems to open out. The satin surface feels as soft as it looks, and the colours stay muted and even under any light in the room.

Standing 39cm on its marble, it sits well on a mantelpiece or along a study shelf, and a frosted piece like this rewards a lamp beside it more than an overhead light, since light from the side brings out the gradation from charcoal to pale grey-green. It looks well against warm wood or a pale painted wall, where its quiet tones read clearly, with the hollow of the bowl turned out to face the room.

Frosted Finish, Charcoal Tones and Delivery

Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. One frosted scoop on its marble base makes up the order, sold individually. On commission the charcoal can be taken deeper or softened to a smoke grey, the green in the sheet strengthened or left out altogether, and the frosting exchanged for a high polish where a glossier finish is wanted. The sheet can rise further above the bowl, and the marble beneath can give way to another stone. It is crated with the sheet supported and the base packed separately, and the scoop is placed on its base after unpacking. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A frosted scoop climbing from a charcoal bowl to a grey-green cap joins our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
