This lion column rises from a square foot of stainless steel finished in a bronze tone, and above it stands a tall shaft of champagne-tinted resin with gold flecks scattered through it. At the top a gilded cap is pierced with triangular openings, and on it sits a guardian lion in clear, smoky resin, its mane worked in heavy curls. The steel foot, the tinted shaft and the clear lion give the piece three distinct tones from floor to crown.
The shaft is tinted through rather than coloured on the surface, so the champagne deepens where the resin is thickest and the gold flecks hang inside it at different depths. The cap is the most worked passage: its faces are cut through in triangles, and every opening has to line up with the next around the corners so the band reads as one pattern, not four. The lion is left clear so the eye can tell it from the tinted shaft beneath, and its curls are cut deep enough to catch light against the gilded cap. The steel foot is cut square and the shaft is seated into it by hand.
At 160cm the lion sits near the eye of a standing visitor, so the column belongs on the floor of an entrance hall, at the foot of a stair or beside a doorway. The steel foot lets it stand straight on stone or timber. A window across the room carries daylight up the tinted shaft, while a downlight picks out little more than the lion and its cap.
In the workshop a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. The shaft can be tinted champagne as here, left clear, or run in amber or smoke, and the gold flecks can be thinned or left out. The cap can be pierced as here or left solid, and the lion can be clear, tinted to match the shaft, or gilded. The steel foot comes bronze-toned, mirror-polished or brushed. Foot, shaft and lion are crated together but packed separately, and two people assemble them on site. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A tall champagne column crowned by a glassy lion belongs with our lion statues; a gilded cap pierced with triangles leads to our classic sculptures, and a shaft standing on bronze-toned steel joins our metal sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
