Champagne & Clear Splash on Tall Stone Plinth Resin Sculpture, 170cm, wave-form resin piece on black marble plinth, set against a plain white background.
Champagne & Clear Splash on Tall Stone Plinth Resin Sculpture - 170cm $2,98400
Description

This splash of champagne-tinted resin rises from a ribbed, flame-like foot, opens round a gap in its middle and turns over at the top into a crest of grooved water that flings two fine tendrils far out to either side. The warm tint gathers in the foot and thins as the water climbs, so the crest is clear and bright. It comes on the black marble plinth it stands on, and the splash itself is about two thirds of the height of the whole.

A Warm Foot and a Clear Crest Over Black Marble

The tint is what gives the splash its weight. Low down, in the ribbed foot, the champagne is at its warmest and the ribs rise through it like flames, each edge catching the light; through the middle, where the water opens round a gap, the colour thins; and by the crest it has gone, leaving clear resin grooved by the movement of the water as it turns over. The plinth beneath is plain, square and black, which sets the warm foot and the clear crest against one quiet shape, and because the crest reaches out past the plinth on both sides, the splash reads as water thrown up off the stone rather than placed on top of it.

At 170cm with its plinth, the crest is met face to face by anyone standing beside it, so it needs floor and not a surface. It is a piece for the middle of a space or for the end of a sightline rather than for the side of a room, since the plinth reads as a column and a column against a wall looks like it is holding something up. It wants a hard, level floor, because a form this tall shows the slightest lean at once. Light from above works best, since it is the crest that carries the piece.

The Champagne Tint, the Plinth and Delivery

Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. The splash comes on its black marble plinth, which is part of the piece and of its price. The plinth's height is set at order, and the stone comes in this black or a pale one. The champagne can be deepened, carried further up the splash or omitted altogether, the turn at the top drawn tighter or opened out, and the splash made to any height with the plinth set against it. Plinth and splash travel in separate crates, and the stone is levelled where it is to stand before the splash is lowered onto it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Turning over at the top is organic sculpture; the casting is resin sculpture; and supplied on its own plinth it is indoor sculpture at standing height.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
