A scroll shell curled over its own opening, a rounded lobe on one side and a horn sweeping up to a point on the other. The outer wall is marbled brown through amber along the length of the curve, streaked with milky white through the horn, with a single blue tip at the open end and a pale aqua wash along the foot. Inside, the hollow of the lobe is lined in a mottled gold-toned finish, so the piece shows one colour from the back and another from the front. A white marble block is included beneath the casting.
Lining the inside of a curled form in gold and leaving the outside in marbled resin is a decision about what the piece does at a distance. The gold is the brightest thing in the object and it faces the opening, so from behind, the piece reads as a dark marbled shell, and the gold only arrives as somebody comes round to the open side. The blue tip keeps the outer wall from going quiet: it caps the horn and points at the opening, one cool note against the brown, answered low down by a band of watery aqua. The marbling runs along the length of the curve rather than across it for the same reason, and streaks of milky white carry it up through the horn.
A console, a shelf or a desk takes it, and it has to be stood with the opening toward the room or the gold is simply absent. A light set to one side and slightly in front reaches the inner face; anything overhead strikes the outer wall and stops there. A dark surface beneath separates the marbling from its own shadow. The gold lines the inside only, so from the back this is a brown scroll and from the front it is a gold one.
Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. The blue tip is taken out or run further down the wall, the gold-toned lining is left out for a plain amber hollow, and the white marble is offered in black. The scroll can be made at another span to order, with the gold-toned lining following the hollow at whichever span is chosen. Because the gold is confined to the inside, a change of tint transforms the outside of the object while leaving the hollow as it is. The stone matters more here than usual, since the white block under a brown body is the one bright thing outside the hollow. It travels in one crate with the block boxed apart, and the scroll is lifted by its outer wall, never by the horn or the rim of the lobe. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Lined in gold-toned paint inside a marbled brown wall, this scroll shell with its blue-tipped horn sits among our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
