Botanical Inlay Black Rim Cast Resin Low Table, 120cm, with pressed flowers and leaves under a black rim on a cone base, shown on a plain background.
Botanical Inlay Black Rim Cast Resin Low Table - 120cm $5,26500
Description

The top of this botanical inlay cast resin low table is a dark resin surface holding real pressed flowers, leaves and ferns - greens, reds, cream and pink, laid dense and overlapping - and it is edged with a plain black rim that stops the pattern rather than framing it. Underneath, a matt black cone flares out to the floor and carries no detail at all.

Real Botanicals Held Under a Dark Surface

Every stem is laid by hand before the resin goes over it, and the density is worked up in passes so nothing floats out of position between them. The dark ground is what makes the botanicals read: against a clear resin the greens would go flat, and against black they hold their own colour. The black rim is cast on rather than applied and is polished to a soft sheen, while the top face is taken to a full gloss, so the two are read as separate surfaces.

It stands in front of a wide sofa or between two chairs set to face each other, and since the botanicals are what it is for, overhead light suits it best; a low sideways light sinks them back into the dark. The cone base stands well in, so it can be walked round without a leg to catch a foot.

The Mix, the Rim, and Where the Light Comes From

Bespoke commissions take 5–6 weeks; standard pieces take 3–4. Ordering settles three things. The mix of botanicals is chosen at order, the ground is offered in another dark tone, and the rim can be run in a metal finish instead of black. Both the top length and the overall height are yours to set. Order more than one together and the mix of botanicals in the top is matched across them. Crated with the black rim and the cone foot protected, it is a four-person lift. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Pressed flowers and ferns held under a dark top give our art furniture a low table; the botanicals belong with our organic sculptures, and the casting with our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
