Blue Water Splash Crown Resin Sculpture - 110cm, resin wave with clear crown-like peaks over a blue splash base, shown on a plain white background.
Blue Water Splash Crown Resin Sculpture - 110cm $5,69800
Description

This blue water splash holds a single droplet's impact at the moment the crown goes up. The pool spreads out into flat lobes the whole way round, its edge breaking into rounded drops, and from the middle of it a ring of separate points rises, each one a different height and several of them splitting into two or three at the top, one opening into a loop. The colour runs the opposite way to the form: deep blue where the material gathers and spreads, thinning as the points rise, and almost colourless at the tips. It is a sculpture and not a water feature, so it holds no water and takes no plumbing.

A Water Sculpture Where No Two Points Match

Width is the whole difficulty here. A form that spreads this wide and stands this low has almost no depth of material to work in, and the points of the crown have to rise out of what little there is. The points are left uneven in height on purpose, because a crown of water never comes up level, and a ring of identical spikes reads as machined at first glance. Every point is drawn against its neighbours rather than to a pattern, so no two of them rise or divide alike. The piece also has to sit dead flat: any rock at all in a form spread this wide lifts one part of the crown out of true, and the ring stops reading as a level circle of water.

It is strongest in profile, so the view that matters is the one taken level with it rather than the one from above. Seen from that height the crown breaks the line of the surface it stands on and the colour is read from the deep blue of the spread up to the colourless points; from directly above the crown flattens into a ring and the gradient goes altogether. That puts it on a broad, deep table met across a room, in a reception or a boardroom, rather than on the floor, where a form this low drops below the sight line and the spreading edge is underfoot. It needs a surface at least as broad as the piece in both directions, since the lobes lie flat and would otherwise hang over the edge. It is made for indoors.

Ordering This Indoor Resin Sculpture, and Delivery

Count on the difference between standard and bespoke: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. The overall spread is set at order against the surface it will stand on, the crown can be raised higher off the pool, and the blue runs to a green, an amber or a clear. The rim can be given fewer points with more weight in each where something quieter is wanted, and it is supplied as the casting alone with no base or stand beneath it. It travels in one flat braced crate with the crown faced all the way round and no weight anywhere on it, and it is lifted under the body of the splash, never by the spreading edge. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A droplet's impact held in resin is organic sculpture; the material itself is resin sculpture; and a piece made for a room rather than a garden belongs with our indoor sculpture.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
