Blue Twin Winged Fan Cast Resin Sculpture, 105cm, with two asymmetrical wave-like wings fading from deep blue to clear resin, on a black marble base, plain white background.
Blue Twin Winged Fan Cast Resin Sculpture - 105cm $3,10400
Description

Two wings of aqua blue water sweep up and apart from a single narrow foot, with a cupped hollow opening between them. The two are unequal: one is broader and rises higher, while the other reaches out further down, almost level at its tip. The blue is deepest where the wings leave the foot and pales as they spread, until the resin at their tips runs clear. It stands on a long, slim marble base.

Two Wings, One Foot, and No Symmetry

Everything on this piece rises from one small foot, so the balance between the two wings is the whole of the design. One wing is given breadth and height, the other length, and the hollow between them is left open, so the eye travels from the deep blue at the foot up into the paler wings and out to their tips without meeting a single straight line. The unevenness is deliberate: two identical wings would settle into an ornament, while these keep the sense of water thrown up in one movement and caught before it falls back.

Its wide spread wants a long, clear surface: a sideboard, a console with nothing else on it or a broad shelf will take it, while the corner of a desk will not, because the wings reach out past anything that would protect them. Give it a plain wall and some space at either end so both tips can be seen against it; daylight arriving from one side lights up the paler wings. Indoor use only.

Evening the Wings, a Tint, and Delivery

In the workshop a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. The two wings are deliberately unequal, and how far apart they sit in height and reach is the first thing to settle with the order. On commission the wings can be drawn to the same reach, the aqua taken towards teal or a deeper blue, and the marble base cut to other proportions. It travels in one wide crate with each wing faced on its own and the marble boxed apart, and two people set it down on the base by the foot, never by a wing. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Two aqua wings flung unevenly from one narrow foot go with our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
