A display plinth for showing a piece, square in plan and made as a hollow column of translucent blue acrylic panel with a closed, flat top. Every face holds the same clear blue from top to foot, lightest down the centre and deepening towards its edges, where the panel behind is seen through it. It is sold singly, one plinth to the order, in a standard panel or a heavier one.
A plinth usually exists to disappear, and this one does the opposite: it gives whatever stands on it a ground of clear blue. Its blue belongs to the panel itself, so each face holds one even tint, and because the column is translucent its inner corners show through as fine lines that draw the square section from any side. The column is hollow, a box of panel rather than a solid block, and nothing frames its edges, so it reads as one upright volume of colour. The top is closed and flat, so a piece sits on it level, and the blue gives a cool ground to warm materials, an amber resin, a bronze or a piece in timber.
At 90cm it lifts a sculpture or an object towards the eye in a gallery, a showroom or a hall. Against a plain wall the blue stays clean and lets whatever stands on top hold the eye. Light from directly overhead catches the piece and runs down the faces in a soft gradient, and side light sharpens the corners. A group of them at different heights works well, and every one is priced separately.
Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. Three choices come with the order. The panel is made in two thicknesses, each at its own price; the column can be made to another height or another section, so a set can be ordered at several heights to stand as a group; and the blue can give way to clear, smoke or another tint. To move it, grip it low on two sides, keep it upright and set it straight down where it is to stand. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A hollow square plinth of clear blue panel, made to lift a single piece, belongs with our art furniture, our acrylic sculptures and our geometric sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
