A chair whose seat is a single acrylic shell shaped as an open flower: five soft lobes with drawn points between them, curving up at the rim and dished at the middle. The colour is graduated through the material: a bright blue in the tall back and the dish of the seat, a band of green across the shoulders, and a deep teal at each curled tip and along the rim. Under it a polished steel gas-lift column stands on a wide disc foot, so the seat both swivels and adjusts.
The gradient is arranged to follow the form rather than to cross it. The blue sits in the back and in the dish of the seat, so the colour reads as something that has settled there; across the shoulders it turns to green, and at the tips it darkens again to a deep teal. The rim carries a dark teal line along its whole edge, and the drawn points curl outward like the tips of leaves. The shell is polished on both faces, so the underside is as finished as the top and the chair is worth seeing from below - which matters, because on a gas lift it is often seen raised. The lobes are not identical: two are broader than the others and the points between them vary, so the flower is asymmetrical the way a real one is.
At 74cm at its standard setting this is a desk or dressing-table chair rather than a dining chair, and the gas lift is the reason to choose it: the seat drops and rises through a useful range and turns freely, so it suits a desk shared by two people or a dressing table used sitting and standing. It wants light behind or beside it, which is what lights the rim; against a dark wall the tips lose their glow. The disc foot spreads the load and will not dent a boarded floor. It suits a study, a dressing room, a bedroom or a hall table. Indoor use only.
In the workshop a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. The gradient is specified at order: blue to green as here, amber to clear, or a single even tint, and the depth of the pool at the middle is adjustable so the seat can read almost clear with only a suggestion of colour. The shell itself is held as it is, since the lobe count and the dish are the design, though a broader shell can be made for a wider sitter. On the base: the polished steel column and disc here are standard, a brushed brass is made, and a fixed four-star base without the lift is offered where a chair is to stay at one height. The lift is a standard gas cartridge and is replaceable. It arrives in two boxes, the shell and the column, and the shell drops onto the column and locks with a collar, which one person can do in five minutes. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Shaped like a flower opening on a swivel stem, this seat is found in our art furniture; the coloured shell links it to our acrylic sculptures, and the petals to our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
