Blue to Green Frosted Stacked Solids Sculpture, 75cm, rotated resin slabs and cube topped with a sphere, blue-to-green frosted finish, on a plain white background.
Blue to Green Frosted Stacked Solids Sculpture - 75cm $4,99000
Description

Three frosted slabs set one on another over a cube, each rotated a few degrees further round than the one below it, with a sphere resting at the top of the stack. Blue at the foot shades to green at the top, and the frosting makes the change read as a wash rather than a graduation. Nothing is supplied with it. The cube at the foot is narrower than the slabs above it, so the stack seems to balance on it.

Regular Things Put Out of Line

Stacking regular solids and turning each one against the last asks a single question: how far can something ordered be disturbed and still read as ordered rather than as fallen. The sphere is the only curved thing in the arrangement and it sits where the lean is greatest, so it reads as the thing the whole stack is leaning to keep hold of. A frosted body holds colour on the outside instead of in the depth, so a stack of frosted solids reads as painted blocks until you get close enough to see it is not. Frosted over every face, and the sphere at the top is frosted as evenly as the flats below it.

A console, a desk or a broad shelf, placed so the lean is met from the side. A dark ground behind it, because a frosted body has no depth to show and needs its outline instead. Frosted, it catches a lamp rather than passing it on, and the blue reads cooler by daylight than under a bulb. The lean carries from across a room and the wash of colour is a near matter.

Leaving the Frost Off, and Delivery

From order, a standard piece runs to 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission to 5–6. The frost is left off, more solids are set or fewer, and the sphere is replaced with a flat. Leave the frost off and the colour has to be deepened, because a clear body shows far less of it at the same mix. Crated as one, bedded on the cube at the foot, with the sphere boxed clear of everything above it. Two people. It is dense and the sphere is not a handhold. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Frosted solids turned against one another lead into our indoor sculptures; the blue-to-green stack belongs with our contemporary and modern sculptures, and further frosted work sits in our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
