Translucent blue all through, this table is made in two sizes. The large one is a lobe that bulges in a long, even curve along one side and draws in tightly along the other; the small one is a rounded oblong. Each has its top sunk into a round, shallow dish near one end, and in each the blue is richest across the top and along the edges and pales down the flanks.
The dish is the detail that does the work. It runs unbroken into the surrounding top around its whole rim, with no cut line where the curve begins, and it is polished to the same gloss as the rest of the body, so it reads as a depression in the material rather than a tray let into it. On the large size the long sides do not mirror each other: one runs out in a long, even convex sweep, the other pulls in to a tighter concave curve, so that table has a definite front and back. The body is cast hollow rather than solid. The colour is in the resin throughout, so a knocked rim shows blue rather than white.
At coffee-table height the large size fills the gap before a sofa or between two facing armchairs, its concave side turned to the seating, and the small size sits beside a chair or tucks into that concave side. The sunken dish holds a glass, a book or a candle without needing a tray, which is useful on a top with a curve in it. It suits pale plaster, oiled oak and wool, and the transparency keeps a small room feeling open where a solid block would close it. Set it on a hard floor or a flatweave rather than deep pile. Indoor use only.
Whether it is standard or bespoke sets the build: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. The wall thickness is chosen at order from two: the thinner wall is the easier to move and the more transparent to look at, and the thicker one feels more solid in the hand and is the one to choose where the table will be leaned on or sat against. The blue can be cast deeper or paler than this, and the two sizes are priced on their own, so either can be ordered alone or both together. For delivery it is boxed in a made-to-measure crate, and it should be raised by the body with flat hands, not by the rim, since neither wall is meant to carry a point load. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
This translucent blue lobe belongs among our contemporary and modern sculptures; as a low blue table it joins our art furniture, and its swelling outline our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
